Valentina Petrova

Currently working at the Instute of Macromolecular Compounds as a researcher.

Scientific interests and current research: Synthesis of cellulose, chitin and chitosan derivatives. Nanocomposites based on chitin and chitosan. Development of biodegradable polymeric matrices based on chitin and chitosan for the for the use in cell cultures. Study of complexation of chitosan with natural and synthetic polyacids.

Daria Poshina, Ph.D (Engineering sciences)

Graduated from Arkhangelsk State Technical University (Lomonosov Nothern Arctic Federal University) in 2008 (Biotechnology)

Current research: Development of gene delivery systems based on chitosan derivatives.

Other research fields: enzymatic modification of natural polysacharides, enzymatic hydrolysis of lignocellulosics.

Andreii Kritchenkov, Ph.D (Chemistry)

Graduated from Vitebsk Medical University (Pharmacy, 2006) and Saint Petersburg State University (Chemistry, 2010).

Scientific interests and current research: Synthesis of chitosan derivatives. Chitosan based nanoparticles as novel carriers for targeted drug delivery. Metal catalyzed click reactions in polysaccharide chemistry and novel reactivity patterns of polysaccharides.

 

Other research fields: metal catalyzed organic transformations, synthesis of antitumor transition metal complexes.
